EntreLeadership by Dave Ramsey

About the book:

Your company is only as strong as your leaders. These are the men and women doing battle daily beneath the banner that is your brand. Are they courageous or indecisive? Are they serving a motivated team or managing employees? Are they valued?

Your team will never grow beyond you, so here’s another question to consider. Are you growing? Whether you’re sitting at the CEO’s desk, the middle manager’s cubicle, or a card table in your living-room-based startup, EntreLeadership provides the practical, step-by-step guidance to grow your business where you want it to go. Dave opens up his championship playbook for business to show you how to:

• Inspire your team to take ownership and love what they do

• Unify your team and get rid of all gossip

• Handle money to set your business up for success

• Reach every goal you set

• And much, much more!

My review of EntreLeadership:

I recently started an Avon business and it is very important to me to learn how to be an effective leader so I can encourage and motivate others to be successful.  I knew that if I could learn about effective leadership from anyone, Dave Ramsey would be that person.  I think the thing I like so much about this book, and all of Dave’s books, is that you never have to finish reading a sentence or paragraph and wonder what he meant by what he said.  He is always straightforward and easy to understand.  It’s very refreshing to be able to read and process the material in a practical way that actually works for my business, and any business.

I also appreciate the simplicity of Dave’s message.  So many things, once I read them, sounded like such common sense, but I may not have necessarily thought of them in the context of my business.  Dave also uses a lot of other sources and books for the information he lays out in EntreLeadership.  I can appreciate that because while he is a very knowledgeable man, he recognizes that others have important information to share as well.  So, overall EntreLeadership has been a very helpful and useful book for me and my business and I look forward to continuing to put into practice Dave Ramsey’s advice and wisdom.
